Lead Teacher & History Teacher
Josh holds a Juris Doctor Degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law and CT Social Studies Teaching Certification (7-12). Josh is also a Certified Adjunct with UCONN (University of Connecticut) for the Political Science Department and teaches ECE (Early College Education) classes in Political Science for UCONN at Spire. Additionally, Josh has acquired Connecticut State SEED (System for Educator Evaluation and Development) certification as a complementary observer of teachers for state required informal observations.
Josh teaches a variety of courses in the Social Sciences. He teaches ECE Intro to American Politics (UCONN), advanced History classes, Psychology, Sociology, Law Studies and World Area Studies. He focuses on juniors and seniors with the express purpose of providing sufficient rigor to prepare his students for college level academics. Josh was also selected to represent GEG as Teacher Ambassador for a new program offered by the State of Connecticut Department of Education. Josh was raised in New York City and began his professional career in the area of finance as an investment manager for private clients. His decision to attend law school in Connecticut not only led to his career as an attorney in the areas of Trust and Estates and Elder Law for many years, but also reinforced a love of the area and desire to remain a resident of the State. Josh was also always drawn to education and learning. He decided to pursue his educational credentials and begin a career in education.
At Greenwich Education Group, and particularly The Spire School, Josh incorporates his varied life experience and professional knowledge to inspire students to grasp the love of learning. He provides students with a rigorous, but nurturing environment to challenge themselves and take the intellectual risks necessary to master the critical thinking skills that are required in the Twenty-First Century global work force.
