Jonathan Cahr, MFA

Jonathan Cahr is a musician, teacher, keyboardist, singer songwriter, musical director, and actor with over 30 years of experience teaching, arranging and directing for choirs, events, musicals and his own recordings. As a classroom teacher and administrator, he has developed curricula and initiated many performing arts programs that have enhanced the culture of the schools and have given the opportunity to students and families to experience professional activities that are unique, exciting and educational. He has trained other educators in many of the strategies and techniques that he developed to incorporate the arts into everyday teaching and their lives.

Jonathan’s career spans Broadway, television, internet, cable and radio. He has performed as an actor and singer for the past three decades. As a songwriter and vocalist his upbeat original Jewish/American music is known and loved by families, schools and organizations worldwide.

Jonathan is thrilled to take his next step in his career teaching music at The Spire school and is greatly looking forward to working with the students and staff.
