Misae Pergolizzi, MA

Misae was born and educated in Tokyo Japan where she earned her B.A. and M.A. majoring in literature. In 2008 Misae earned a Japanese certification in Connecticut from the ARC program and has more than 15 years experience teaching Japanese language from elementary, middle, high school, college, as well as to native Japanese speakers. She previously taught at Norwalk Public Schools, Ridgefield H.S., The New School, and at Keio Academy of New York.

Misae believes it's important for students not just to learn a foreign language, but to also explore a completely different culture in order to broaden students' insights and prepare then to be educated global citizens in the future. Misae’s hobby is playing the piano.
