Karen Popp, MA

Karen is a native of Pittsford, NY, a suburb of Rochester. Karen earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from Purchase College, SUNY and her MA in Art Education from The College of New Rochelle. Creating art and teaching are Karen’s two greatest passions. Aside from teaching, Karen is a practicing and an award-winning artist. She is an exhibiting artist member at the Rowayton Arts Center. Karen’s professional affiliations include the Greenwich Art Society, the Greenwich Arts Council, and Greenwich Pen Women. When Karen is not teaching or painting, she spends her time reading, practicing yoga, and being with her family. Karen considers it a privilege to work in a welcoming and nurturing environment such as the Spire School.
