Marisa is a Connecticut native who spent the first ten years of her career in Boston, MA. She received a Bachelor's of Art in Psychology from Boston University and Masters in Social Work From Simmons University. Prior to joining the Spire School, Marisa was a school social worker at Stamford Public Schools. Marisa has worked with youth and their families with diverse needs and perspectives in a variety of settings, including non-profits, summer camps, residential treatment centers, group therapy practices, and schools. She firmly believes in the unwavering potential of young people and describes her therapeutic style as warm and strengths-based. Marisa enjoys building relationships with students and cheering them on as they reach new milestones. When she's not at work, she enjoys traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends, trying new coffee shops, and a good horror movie.
