Susan Pfeffer, OTR/L, MFA, M.AmSAT
Occupational Therapist
Susan has been researching and practicing somatic movement with populations of various ages and backgrounds for over 25 years. She is an AmSAT certified Alexander Technique teacher who uses developmental movement in her therapeutic approaches. Susan explores movement patterns learned from infancy to one year old that were skipped or not fully explored through vestibular and proprioceptive activities. She has taught movement for actors at colleges and universities in Miami, Reno, and the South Bay in California. She has an M.F.A. in Theater: Contemporary Performance from Naropa University and an M.S. in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University. She has practiced occupational therapy using sensory-motor/reflex integration approaches at pediatric clinics, holistic health studios and in early intervention. She loves hiking, reading, and moving about in dance, Pilates, yoga, developmental movement, and meditation.
